GoldenEar SuperSub X Powered Subwoofer - Gloss Black

It's barely bigger than a 12-1/2" cube. But the SuperSub X is a whale of a subwoofer. If you're short on space but have a huge hunger for home theater thrills, this is the compact sub for you.

Did we say "compact?" This mind-blowing gem is ultra-compact. It gets its movie magic might from a patented inertially-balanced driver array that features two horizontally-opposed 8" ultra-long-throw active drivers and two vertically-opposed 10-1/2" x 9-1/2" planar back-wave-driven radiators, driven by a 1400 watt Class D Digital amplifier.

Those 8" drivers use computer-optimized ultra-stiff fiber cones and massive high-gauss magnet assemblies, contributing to the powerful room-shaking bass and superior transient performance for exceptional detail. The quadratic planar infrasonic radiators perform like a well-tuned transmission line but with superior transient performance and control. Pressure-coupled loading extends usable bass performance to the infrasonic region.

Key Features

Overview

  • 1400-watt Class D digital amplifier

  • 2 x 10.5" x 9.5" quadratic planar back-wave-driven radiators separated vertically
  • Discrete multi-band limiting
  • Phase perfect equalization
  • Fully balanced and advanced reconstruction filters
  • A strong focus on keeping latency to an absolute minimum

Ultra-Long-Throw Sub-Bass Drivers

  • Ultra-long throw high-output bass drivers for powerful room-shaking bass
  • Superior transient performance for exceptional detail
  • Computer optimized ultra-stiff fiber cone
  • Massive high-gauss magnet assembly

Quadratic Planar Infrasonic Radiator

  • Pressure-Coupled loading extends usable bass performance to the infrasonic region
  • Performs like a well-tuned transmission line but with superior transient performance and control

Inputs

  • LFE line-level input: Unfiltered (no low pass), direct-coupled
  • Right/Left line-level input: variable low-pass from 40Hz–150Hz
