KEF Q11 Meta 3-way Bass Reflex Floorstanding Speakers - Pair are high-end speakers designed to provide an immersive and exceptional audio experience. Equipped with KEF's innovative Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), the Q11 Meta significantly reduces high-frequency distortion by absorbing 99% of the unwanted sound from the back of the driver. This ensures a clean, natural sound output, allowing listeners to enjoy music or home theater soundtracks with outstanding clarity and depth. The 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array, which positions the tweeter at the center of the midrange driver, delivers smooth, cohesive sound that fills the room effortlessly. KEF Q11 Meta 3-way Bass Reflex Floorstanding Speakers - Pair: The Q Series, our famed and multi-award winning HiFi speaker line's heirs, has once again undergone evolution nine times around since 1991.

The Q11 Meta offers deep, controlled bass performance, thanks to its hybrid aluminium cone low-frequency drivers. These drivers combine the strength of aluminium with the flexibility of paper cones, allowing for precise and rapid movement similar to piston action. This design ensures a more accurate reproduction of low frequencies, delivering tight and impactful bass without overpowering the rest of the sound. Whether it's the rumble of a bass guitar or the punch of an action movie explosion, the bass remains clear and free from distortion, even at high volumes. The three-way design further enhances the bass by separating low, midrange, and high frequencies for optimal clarity throughout the sound spectrum. The bass reflex port, designed with computational fluid dynamics, reduces turbulence and port noise, refining the overall bass output. The combination of these advanced materials and design features ensures the Q11 Meta delivers a bass experience that is powerful yet precise, enriching every moment of listening.

A revision of the Uni-Q driver array aims to optimize the performance gains that MAT provides. Based on its depth, the conical waveguide that connects the tweeter dome to the metamaterial absorber was created especially for the driver. The tweeter gap damper has been redesigned with two rings of porous material placed strategically to efficiently calm resonances and defects, resulting in a significant improvement in clarity and detail.

The most significant new development in the Q Series is the use of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT)1, a ground-breaking invention that significantly improves the precision and clarity of the most recent 12th generation Uni-Q driver array. Each of the many pathways in MAT's incredibly complicated maze-like structure effectively absorbs a particular frequency. By combining the channels, the tweeter's rear absorbs 99% of the undesired sound, creating an acoustic black hole. By doing this, the associated distortion is removed, resulting in a more natural and clean acoustic performance.
