Musical Fidelity MF-BPC16 Balanced Power Conditioner: Our BPCs have several output zones installed. A maximum output power that each zone is permitted to deliver is not to be exceeded. With two 600 watt and one 2000 watt zones, the BPC16 can produce up to 16 amps at a time. The largest power amplifiers, monoblocks, or multichannel home theater amplifiers can be utilized with the special zone that has an output power of 2000 watts. The primary benefit of having numerous zones is that connected electronics are shielded from differential mode cross contamination. Electronics with linear power supplies should be connected in the second zone and switch mode power supply devices in the first. In case there are insufficient power outlets, you can connect a power strip as long as the total power output of the zone is not exceeded. More bottom definition, improved instrument separation, and a wider soundstage are all produced by using a BPC.
Efficiency is the secret to all the benefits of a toroidal transformer, and the transformer core holds the secret to efficiency. Tightened like a clock spring, the core is a continuous strip of silicon steel with grain orientation. 95% of its weight can be stacked on top of it since, as the typical EI transformer has shown, there is no air gap. Ninety percent is the typical efficiency for a toroidal transformer, meaning that only ten percent of the input power is wasted as heat, electromagnetic radiation, or vibration. Hence, the magnetic field radiated by toroidal transformers is around one hundredth that of EI transformers. We also achieved significantly cleaner power and noise elimination thanks to Common Mode Rejection (CMR).
